Hello Friends,
How are you doing?
I hope you are practicing the goal-setting tips from our last topic, and you are putting in your best to achieve them.
Today, we want to talk about choosing your friends. I know we all have friends, and we choose our friends for different reasons; shared interests, being in the same class or community, admiring something about them, etc.
It is often said show me your friend and I will tell you who you are, and you have to have to be intentional in choosing your friends.
Back in high school, ย I had a group of 6 ย friends and we were popularly known as the Society of 6- the amazing thing about this group was that we motivated ourselves, and in most instances, we were the top six in the class, we joined press club, held positions in the group and went on to be prefects in our set. Although that relationship was not sustained after school, it served the purpose.
So, I ask, who are your friends?
When I first had the idea of this initiative, I ran the idea by my group of friends and they inspired me to pursue it, they fine-tuned it and provided the required support.
Even the good book says two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labour.
Dear friend, do not move in isolation, develop good values, and be friends with people who share your values. If you hang around fools, you will become one, it is only a matter of time.
Remember to be a good friend just as you desire good friends, impact your friends positively, learn from one another and together you can achieve your goals.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Keep thriving!
